Saka has been sidelined for an extended period due to a hamstring injury suffered last year, preventing him from featuring for the Gunners in 2025 so far. His absence has been keenly felt, as Mikel Arteta's side have struggled in front of goal and seen their Premier League title hopes fade.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
According to Arsenal are eager to eliminate any uncertainty surrounding Saka’s long-term future and will prioritise securing him on an improved contract. The 23-year-old winger, currently earning £195,000 per week, signed his last deal in 2022, which ensures him a minimum of £10 million ($13m) per season. Andrea Berta, who has recently taken on the sporting director role, will be responsible for overseeing Saka's contract renewal.

Berta’s involvement extends beyond Saka, as Arsenal are also working to secure the futures of other key players. Discussions are expected to take place with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Leandro Trossard.
